So this month’s been a bit mental again. Oh well, better to be busy than not, which is why this show is almost late... that and audacity crashing and me losing everything. Anyhow, this time out, there’s a live set from Sauna Youth, who are one of my favourite UK bands at the moment. They play rad garage punk with a sweet poppy vibe and neat reverby sounds. February was a manic month. I am ill and broken and poor. But it was all worth it. I made it back to Berlin and hung out with some great people, ate some great food, and saw the sights. I saw some awesome bands this month like Vitamin X, Billy Bragg, Brothers and Sauna Youth (all in the last 7 days actually...). And I picked up a stack of sweet records. Good times, these.

February and it’s still fucking cold, although at least the snows gone and I finally got paid. January’s a long month innit. Anyhow, this show features the second of our studio live sets. Rich Smith was kind enough to record a studio set from the Southampton hardcore band Defier for me that’ll appeal to anyone who likes modern hardcore bands like Have Heart and Blacklisted. You can hear the four tracks from that session for the first time ever on this show. This is October’s podcast and the second of three shows focusing on punk and hardcore from my home town of Southampton. This is an entire show of old Southampton bands from between 2000–2007 – basically from about the millennium to when I went travelling. I started off with the idea that I could do a kind of overview that would include all the great bands from this period but there were too many songs and too many people that needed to be included.
